I have just read the post about the girl with the -2.75 & -0.75 prescription
and wanted to ask a question.

I also have one eye that is -2.75 with -0.25 of astigmatism, the other eye is
-2.25. Technically I can read and use the computer without glasses but the
worse eye quickly becomes uncomfortable, ait feels like my eyes aren't
working together properly. Can a -0.50 difference make that much difference
or could it be something else? Am I right to carry on wearing glasses for the
computer and to read or will I make it worse?

Thanks!

Yes.  The two eyes will be focused on different planes, so one is
clear and one is blurry -- that will cause discomfort.
If you are more comfortable, then wear your glasses, they will not
make your vision worse.
