CORNEAL COLLAGEN CROSSLINKING WITH RIBOFLAVIN (C3R)
AS PER C3R PROCEDURE IS CONCERNED , IT IS

VERY SAFE NON - INVASIVE PROCEDURE AS COMPARE WITH CORNEAL GRAFTING,

RESULT ARE NOT IMMEDIATE, BUT THERE IS CORNEAL THICKNESS IMPROVEMENT
IS SEEN IN 4- 10 MONTHS AS CORNEAL THICKNESS IS IMPROVED SO
KERATOMETRY READINGS GETS CHANGED (CORNEAL CURVATURE),
C3R PROCEDURE WILL PREVENT CORNEAL THINING IN KEROTOCONUS OR IN
CORNEAL ECTASIA CONDITION WHICH WILL PREVENT CORNEAL GRAFTING.

Corneal Collagen Crosslinking with Riboflavin (C3-R) is a very
interesting technique to treat keratoconus, ectasia, and unstable
corneas. It appears to be relatively safe, but is not always
effective.

We have a detailed article about C3-R with the most current abstracts
at:
