About 6 years ago I began to notice that from one day to the next the clarity
of my vision shifted.
Some days crystal clear. Other days, I might as well have not bothered
putting glasses on.
With the current pair of glasses (about 18 months old), the provider was very
generous. We had about 3-4 eye exams. Yet the glasses did not provide clear
vision. And the larger question remains, "what is the source of the variation?
"
I am not diabetic.
The night vision is crisp.
My father says he experiences the same thing.
I wore gas perm contacts until 4 years ago.
The question remains, "what is the source of the variation?"

Corneal astigmatism can vary a little, on a diurnal cycle, or related to
sustained lid posture.
> The night vision is crisp.
That's truly puzzling. Usually night is where you notice blur the most.
Polar cataracts can affect day vision more than night.
The newsgroup mystics will have lots of answers, the doctors not so many.
It's tough to explain.

Yes, the sharpness of sight is always varying, for everyone.
Even for those with perfect sight, it varies.
What is the source of the variation?
The doctors are unable to explain, but they are very stupid.
Simply, it is a strain of the mind.
You strain to see more in the daytime than in the nighttime thus your
sight is sharper in the night than during the day. Mike calls it
mystical, I just call it common sense.
>That's truly puzzling.
Of course it is puzzling to you; but that is because you have no idea
of the way in which the eyemind operates. You will continue in the
stupidity of nonsense theories, which are unable to help anyone. The
patient in this case strains to see under unfavourable conditions, but
strains less under the more favourable conditions (night). There is
your answer.

You should never have bothered wearing glasses at all!
You should discard the glasses and begin the rest treatments, all the
answers to your confusion, will become clear before you, make you feel
stupid you hadn't known it before. Begin the rest methods; if you
fail, ask someone with perfect sight to help you.
