Somehow my very important message got lost, so I must re-post it. I
originally wrote it as I was laughing and laughing while reading
another reply to the Bates method, when I suddenly realized that I had
just found the cure to the incurable myopia, which is known to be a
very dangerous disease. So here it goes:
Did you know that laughter is good for your health and helps reducing
stress (or strain, if you wish)? As such, laughter is the best cure
for myopia.
Moreover, the shape of your eyeballs changes as you laugh and thus
your refractive error is reduced. If you laugh often and for long
periods, your eyeballs will accommodate and flatten, and the infamous
elongated shape will permanently disappear.
So forget the plus lens, forget relaxation eye exercise and forget all
the accommodation theories. Laughter is the solution.
P/ S. Actually laughter is the real reason why I signed up to this
NG. There is just too much funny stuff here. I think it will
eventually cause my IOL to accommodate and my macular pucker to
miraculously dissolve itself. As long as Otis, Quasimodo and Protoman
are here,
I know that I can laugh all the way to my next appointment with the
majority opinion optometrist.

Hi Ms. Brainy,
Interesting that you mention this, you know. Last week I was at boxing
training session and my teacher said that laughing is actually really
really good for improving abdominal muscle strength. Anyway, after
reading up on it from wikipedia it looks like laughing is beneficial
for ven some serious health problems! [

pure comedy! I mean, for all his haters, Otis sure adds some humor to
this place!
Laugh away and be well,

Yes Kisame,
Brainy is truly a wit.
And most people who think that of themselves
are usually half right.
Just one man's opinion.

Which still puts them significantly ahead of you, Uncle Otie.
MORE LIBRIUM. STAT!!

I am happy that you preface many of your comments with this phrase.
This statement is correct for everything you suggest: it is nothing
more than just one man's opinion. In fact, you would be hard-pressed
to find another man who believes all the fictional claim you make.

I spend a lot of time laughing at Cletis and some of the other Bozo's
here. Must be why I am not myopic.
Cool, new therapy regime. I will start charging for this immediately.
