Vernal Conjunctivitis

I'm 23 years old with Vernal Conjunctivitis since I was 18 years old,
it's been decreasing year after year but still there and very
annoying. The eyes start to become itchy and extremely red during
spring/summer season (anything above 25c) or any type of heat hitting
the eyes (e.g. opening a hot oven in winter or a lengthy hot shower in
winter also causes it). An air conditioner makes the problem vanish
within 15mins and the eye completely clears from red to absolute
white, however it'll go red and itchy again after I switch the A/C
off. But when I go outside - I don't have an A/C and I intend to
relocate from the UK to Costa Rica to join my ecommerce business
partner, where the climate is even hotter! All my private and NHS
consultant ophthalmologists can offer is "don't relocate" which is
hard to do.

PS. I've been on anti-biotics before and even Cyclopentolate drops
(vision was reduced very badly and the doctors said I was close to
blindness or permanent severely reduced vision) but that was 4 years
ago and it's not as bad now. I'm currently on FML (Fluorometholone)
eye drops only.

Q1: Can anyone provide me and tips on reducing this problem? Or if
they've experienced it?
Q2: Is this eye problem permenant? From Googling it says it mostly
affect males pre-puberty, yet I started to get it post-puberty at 18.
Q3: Can vitamin supplements help? If so, which ones?

Thanks,
John

Hello!! My sister have a book what say this:

Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) -

This is inflammation of the membrane covering the inner eyelid and the
eyeball. The cause may be exposure to chemicals, dual bacteria,
viruses or allergens such as pollen. Symptoms include reddening of
eye; weepy and itchy eyes; and sensitivity to light. The affected
person should use a separate washcloth and towel because the infection
may be contagious, depending on the cause.

1. Bathe the eyes several times a day with a pad of cotton wool soaked
in warm water. You may dissolve a pinch of borax in the water.

2. Use soothing eye drops from your pharmacy or doctor.

3. Apply warm compresses to the eyes.

4. Indian gooseberry (*amla; emblic myrobalan; emblica officinalis*)
has been proven very helpful in this disease. Drink a cup  of Indian
gooseberry juice sweetened with honey twice a day.

5. Instilling purified honey into the affected eye is very helpful.
Ensure the honey is pure.

You have a book of home remedies. There are much more effective treatments.

Normally we begin by figuring out what sort of "pink eye" you have.

None of these treatments are likely to help vernal conjunctivitis.

Honey in the eye?  You must be kidding!  Or are you serious,
