Perhaps best discussed with my doc... But, you may remember last year I
had an MRI in relation to some "blurry" vision I had in which text
appeared to jump out at me from paper...
I occasionally get similar things now, where text will appear a little
blurry, and every ripple in paper seems far more pronounced - that is
until I put that big bright halogen spot lamp on and, it's like
everything just compresses and forms one big glorious hole.
But nothing as disorientating as a couple years back.
When I had the MRI done last year, they suggested I had some brighter
spots on my brain, but didn't go into detail. When I saw my GP, he
uttered the word "demyleination".
A year on, I have another appointment to see the eye docs regarding
progress, and to check out how things are with my vision.
I havent seen anything discussing another MRI. Should I be pushing for one?
If I don't I'll probably actually start going insane thinking
"Demylination, ooh, No 1 cause MS, ooh, look, I just dropped that pencil
for the tenth time, I keep mispronouncing that word, I keep getting
forgetful..." etc etc....
<slaps head>stop being so damn ... i forgot that word now where, what is
it, usually relates to people looking through medical dictionaries
finding ailments... what is it? I don't know</slaps head>

Hypochondria. I looked it up in a medical dictionary once. I think I've
got it.

I disagree. One's search of knowledge and understanding of his
condition is not hypochondria.
