I think I've had anti-reflective coating for the last 8-10 years at least.
I always assumed it was rather a generic item, but now I see the ads for
Crizal lenses, which I assume refers to the coating.
How many types or brands of AF coatings are there, and are some better than
others?

there are several, even crizal comes in a couple of "flavors"
alize being the antistatic and easy-to-clean version.
these premium coatings (super hi vision to name another) are very
durable and work as advertised.
