Hello
I was wondering if anyone could shed some light about the symptoms I have
been having.  Out of the blue I will feel a little dizzy & all the sounds
around me sound muffled then everything turns to gray. It's like the feeling
you get just before you pass out, but I don't pass out.  This usually will
last for a few seconds & then I feel fine.  All of this happens at least once
a week or more or I can go a couple of weeks without anything happening. I'm
told it's just a type of migraine and I will just have to live with it.

Did that someone who told you it's a type of migraine a doctor?
If not, see a doctor because it may be something serious or it may
not. No one could tell you over the internet. Guesses won't help.

you need a second opinion on that to rule out more serious problems

I have been to two different doctors and they are stumped.  I believe that is
why one of the doctor's told me it is just something I have to live with.  I
will keep looking for a doctor that will actually take the time to help me
find out what is going on in my head.  I was hoping to find someone that may
be experiencing the same symptoms I am having.

Sounds familiar. My first experience was when I was maybe seven years
old - that time I stood dumfounded until I actually did pass out.
Since then I've never completely lost consciousness, though some times
that requires lowering my head to increase blood pressure to the
brain.

My experience is that my vision pixellates away to a plain dark gray,
starting in the far periphery and slowly closing in toward central
vision. Sort of like the shrinking "HBO" logo at the end of many of
their programs...   I've learned to have a bit of control over how
quickly it happens and how far it progresses, though telling someone
how to do that would be about as easy as telling them how to control
an orgasm.

I've had these experiences for fifty years now, and can't tell that
they've hurt anything. No MD has ever admitted to recognizing them.
The only recognition I've found was from psychics, who say it means
you are "leaving your body". You might want to explore the "OOBE"
literature, since you seem to have verified that the MDs don't see a
physical problem.

The only thing anyone gets from a psychic is that "money leaving your
wallet" experience.

I'll grant that is almost universally true, especially if your search
began in the yellow pages or the back of a newspaper. But there are a
few people who have experiences that science has so far proven unable
or at least unwilling to understand. And a very few of those become
skilled enough at controlling and manipulating those experiences to
help others learn to understand and control their own.

I was lucky enough to have one of those recommended to me many years
ago, and learned to control my "gray-out" experiences rather than fear
them. There's a chance the original poster might benefit from seeking
out someone who specializes in "out-of-body" issues. Usual warnings to
beware of charlatans, of course!

That credit goes to you. The power of the individual human mind.

Thank you - it's nice to know I'm not going crazy and other people have
actually had the same experience.  I did run acoss a doctor & he did what he
called a "cold lazer treatment" I didn't feel a thing and I thought he was
more crazy than I felt, but after the treatment I did not experience any gray-
outs for 2 weeks.  It's not cured but it's a start

It doesn't sound like an ocular (eye) problem. My guess would be low
blood pressure BUT don't take my word for it as it sounds like something
that should be checked out by a doctor.
