Greetings, Strange problem hit me last night and has not subsided. Whenever I look at any surface, I am seeing an overlay of some kind of "pixelated texture", for want of a better term. Kind of like the texture you get from a computer screen? Almost like I am looking "through" a computer screen. Not really "fuzzy", just that everything has that "overlay", almost like a really subtle "mesh", and looks like it has texture to it (even if it is really smooth and flat). Distance does not seem to matter, though it seems to improve on really close items (less than 12" or so). Anyone heard of this? It's actually getting me a bit worried, as it is kind of strange, and has never happened to me before. I was using a rather large monitor (21"), the last week, bigger than I am normally used to. Honestly don't know if that had anything to do with it, but I went back to my smaller monitor for now, just in case. Still, seems awfully strange.......will call my dr. if it persists, but wanted to post here to get some ideas, or see if anyone has heard of this before. Could be a number of things from central retinal problem, optic nerve problem or early sign of a stroke. Would not be caused by computer use. See your doctor ASAP; give very serious thought to going to emergency, not waiting till after the weekend. Would not be caused by computer [quoted text clipped - 3 lines] > Dr judy >> Allen Dr. Judy, My thanks for the (polite) reply, went to the ER last night, they really did not do much (not that I expected them to, shined a light in my eyes checking for bleeding, and did an eye test, did not even get a CT out of it :-), said it "might" be an ocular migraine or eye strain, though both seem odd since it has been going on for about 30 hours straight now (and the symptom seems unusual, even to them). Que sera sera, will call my doc on Monday and go from there. I see wavy lines in front o things too if I really look,like a smoky film like pc,i ahve big screentoo ,up for days tho little sleep amd i amat pc all day/ So i blew it fof oto that. Knda neat in a way.I hoped my manna kicking in and I get to see somealiens or spirits for ocne. I never see nothing cool. NOt even shadow people. Is it one eye or both eyes? When I had something similar in one eye and was ignored and told it was nothing, it eventually turned out to be malignant melanoma. What happens if you look at the screen closely using a magnifying glass or a loupe? Do you still see a mesh with the same characteristics? Bill -- Fermez le Bush--about two years to go. hi i know what your experiencing...and the doctors i have seen (a total of 5) dismissed my syptoms and thought of it weird...the last one suggested i have an MRI (will have one as soon as i have the money coz it is too expensive. lol). i suggest you see as many doctors as you can until u find the right one. sometimes when people walk by, they are followed by a shadow or somesort of halo. also, when i look at things that are stationary, they become wavy or seem to move. i had an OCT Scan on both eyes (twice on my right eye) and results came out normal (but still havent let the doctor read my results...will do it tomorrow. lol) and i have been diagnosed with dry eyes. sometimes i dunno if my eyes hurt coz of the dry eyes or something else. does anyone here experience those things. i have gone crazy and my life has changed since i experienced these things last january. you response would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
