Can anyone help with this? A collegue writes:
My father wears "bone conduction eyeglasses aid"
<www.betterhearingdiscount.com/products/boneconduction.htm>, but
lately he has a lot of problems because the part of his head behind
his ears is like "sunk" -- I am not sure if I am using the correct
word.... with the constant use of the eyeglasses his bone where it is
suppose that the hearing aid should make contact with is bone now it
is like "sunk" so the hearing aid does not make contact with his bone
so he can't hear... We have been trying to figure how can we fix this
problem. The hearing aid is attached to normal eyeglasses and the lil
part that has the screws is "straight line" so I was thinking if you
may design this lil part that is attached to the hearing aid and
instead of being a straigth line could be something like a "curve" so
makes some kind of pressure on both sides to help the hearing aids to
touch/make contact with his head.....My father was thinking as well if
we may use something like a "band" or rubber band to attach to both
hearing aids (something like the "goggles" use and go behind of the
head)... but we really don't have any remote idea where to find it....
any advice will be welcome, and if you think you may help to make
something to help him, i'll send you the eyeglasses and pair of old
hearing aids so you may work in the design... i hope you may
understand my bad english.

Return to the hearing aid person who supplied the aid and have them
attach it securely. Or maybe he would be better served with a hearing
aid that is in his ear instead of on his glasses.
Possibly his glasses are out of adjustment, as the arms of the glasses
should be making contact which his head whether there is a hearing aid
or not, so you could also have him see his glasses person and have the
glasses adjusted.
