My OS contact lens (Focus Toric Monthly) prescription changed from:

     Sph      Cyl    Axis     BC   DIA
     -2.0      -1.0    020      8.9   14.5
to    -1.5      -1.75  180     8.9    14.5

Am I thinking incorrectly that that is a big change in Axis?  Is it
possible that my doc made a mistake?

Axis is measured from 0 to 180 with180 and 0 being the same.  Axis 20
is only 20 different from 180, but to make sure you might want to call
the doctor and confirm.

No, and yes.

it is a big change and if you have a doubt double check.

It's not a big change.

It would be if it were my eye.  Big enough for a double-check.

Perhaps so.  I'm no doctor, but from my limited personal experience,
Toric lenses can't even be ordered in fine gradations, and for some
people, they rotate on the eye.  The difference between 20 and 180 is
certainly significant, but I wouldn't call it a big change.
