That is an interesting point, as the description sounds a lot like the
dark ring at the edge of a bubble. The big question would be if the ring
moves about your visual field, Paul.

Thanks for the responses.
I should make a more detail description of the shadow.
I am very sure the bubble gone though 9 days is pretty short as doctor
would expect at least 2 weeks.
By the way, the shadow is not moving with my head like the bubble
does. The bubble lived with me for 9 days so I am pretty familiar how
it behaves with my motion. But the shadow is like something attached
to my retina, something really similar to retinal tears but my doctors
checked it several times without any tear found.
This shadow consists of a very big ring, that resides at the
circumference on my field of vision, yes, it is in peripheral vision
only, my central vision is excellent. Along this big circular ring,
there is a darkish dot, with some sparks, at the six o'clock
direction, that is under my central vision when I look straight.
As this resembled the shape of the scleral buckle, the doctor thinks
it is the buckle that makes the effect. But I want to see if anyone
has similar experience and how would it looks in long term.
Thanks,
Paul
