Anybody know of the names of any support groups for these unfortunate people? Anybody know the medical name fpr this affliction? I know that my bad eye could be used with correction, and I might even be able to drive just using it. My wife has amblyopia, and she has been told that she could probably learn to use the bad eye if she lost the good one. It's really not that bad having only one eye, but of course you don't have a backup. I don't see the need of a support group. I don't agree with Dan that a forum is not needed. Don't know of any support groups for monocular people; there are support groups for many eye diseases so they would likely be able to find a group for whatever disease caused the loss of vision in the bad eye. Anybody know the medical name fpr this affliction? TIA No real medical name as there are many different disorders that can cause loss of vision in one eye.
