I am a very high myope, in one eye.  I've just moved up in lens strength
from the minus 12 I was wearing, which was not a full prescription, to a
minus 14.  My doctor got a minus 13.5 and a minus 14 from Ciba - Focus
Monthly.  The minus 14 is the real deal.  Trouble is, CIBA is backordered
and none of the online outlets have it.  1800Contacts, where I''ve been
getting lenses for years, won't have them till mid Feb.

So, can anyone suggest an easy to wear extended wear lens, like the Focus
Monthly, which comes in -14, BC 8.6 or 8.7, 14 Dia, which might be available
now?

A little bit esoteric, but you might try the DOSCO Medical company the
lens model is ActiFresh 400 (with UV blocker) it is a 2-4 week lens
comes in 8.4 and 8.8 BC 14.3 Dia. and comes in powers ranging from +10
- -15 and comes in 0.5D steps. It is one of the cheaper lenses and come
with a similar oxygen permiability as the CIBA lens you are currently
wanting.

Hope this helps.

Precision UV, marketed by CIBA, has high powered disposable contacts in
the range you need.

Claims to be in stock, but so does www.1800contacts.com for that lens.

You'll want to give them a call to check, I guess (1-800-lens-com, I
believe).

1800Contacts called me today and told me the backordered lens would come in
mid Feb.  So, I have no idea what the site says, but I'm sure its wrong.
They have an order from me already.
