>From their ages, I would think they have one of the congenital juvenile
types of macular degeneration.  Is there a service agency to help blind
people in India and does it have a low vision assessement service and a
rehab service?

What they need is a low vision assessment which will result in
provision of low vision aids like special glasses or magnifiers and/or
mobility and tasks of daily living training to help them adapt to their
vision.

You may want to look at Ocutech.  Think of glasses that are more like
telescopes. We found out about them at the Feinbloom center in
Philadelphia USA. 215-276-6060

http://www.ocutech.com/

They cost about &1500 US.  They enable a lot but reading is not
enhanced for my son's.  You may be able to decrease the magnification to
enable wider viewing for reading. My two sons use it for distance
viewing like looking at a chalk board.

Arizona USA lets people drive with it.
