by horizontal viewing?
How much time is still considered safe while horizontally viewing?
This can happen when you're lying in bed and reading a book (partially
horizontal), or when in nature and looking at the clouds....

Toric lenses largely orient due to lid/lens interaction which shouldn't
be much different lying on your back looking straight up or sitting
vertically looking straight ahead. Either way, the head and eyes are
in the same position with respect to the body.
I think the real problem is how to drink your beer/coke and eat popcorn
while lying down. The drinks especially -- would rubber sheets be
needed for all the spills?
