Resting one eye

Hello

I work on the PC alot, and use eye glasses. Sometimes just after couple of
hours of use, my eyes hurt.

I was wondering if it is good to rest one eye at a time by closing it using
a helper and operate using only the other eye.
Then again close the other one and use the already rested one?

Does that really rest my eye? (when the eye is voluntarily closed?)

What is the effect of that on the brain? does it work more or does that
overload the other eye?

Does not rest the eyes.

More likely, you have poor tears or dry eyes which are made worse with
computer work as people do not blink as often when reading.

Book an appointment with your eye doctor.
