I learned late yesterday that the National Eye Institute and the
National Institute of Health will fund a comparative study of Avastin
vs Lucentis for treating age-related macular degeneration. I have
posted the complete story on my web site at:
http://irvaronsjournal.blogspot.com. Check out Update 7.

Don,

I don't know the details of the study yet -- other than it will be a
multicenter study, and that recruitment of patients will begin in
January.
