I used to get alot of ripped Acuvue Advanced lenses and was switched to
Acuvue Oasys.  That was for my left eye.  I have had much better
success with them in terms of ripping.  For my right eye I have Acuvue
Advanced for Asthigmatism and my doctor said that I am fitted with them
for the lowest degree of asthigmatism that they treat.  I have recently
experienced tons of ripping with them.  6 ripped lenses in about 2-3
weeks.
1. Has anyone had issue with ripped Acuvue Advanced and Acuvue Advanced
for Asthigmatism lenses
2. Has anyone experienced that Oasys tears less
3. Being that I am treated for the lowest amount of asthigmatism in my
right eye is there any overlapping with that that will allow me to wear
Oasys in my right eye as well since I have seen better results with
them in terms of ripping
4. I found this information on the internet once and havent been able
to find it again but what is the amount of asthigmatism that is
acceptable for Oasys lenses and is the amount of asthimatism that I
have corrected by the Asthigmatism lenses fall within the range of
acceptable asthigmatisms for the Oasys lenses

I had problems with ripping.  A nurse told me that some people "fold"
their lenses while cleaning.  This is not deliberate, but sometimes the
lenses just gets folded over and sort of "creased".  The nurse claimed
that the lens would not rip immediately, but in normal use, that
weakened fold would eventually tear.  I made sure never to fold my lens
over while cleaning and have never had a tear since.

YMMV.
