I would like to add that the unpreserved saline is absolutely sterile
and I use every vial only once.
Your routine sounds pretty reasonable, if each GP solution you've tried
causes you problems.
There may be some GP lenses that degrade with peroxide, but I suspect it'd
already have happened. If your lenses remain clear, comfortable, and easy to
wet, then there's nothing to fix.

Is the OP killing the bugs? I thought most everything
mentioned requires some time (4 to 6 hours?) to kill
all the bugs?
My nightly routine is rub with Optima ESC to remove
deposits, rinse with tap water, soak in Unique PH
overnight to sterilize and condition. One drop Systane
Free Liquid Gel in the eye 10 minutes before insertion
for cushioning.
Every 2 weeks or so I will soak case, inserters, inserter
cases, etc. in 2% hydrogen peroxide overnight and rinse
with saline. I don't soak my RGPs in peroxide since I heard
there were differing opinions on whether it was bad
for some RGP materials.'

is this a mildly abrasive milky solution? these types of solutions
containing silicone dioxide (i believe) particles are the better
cleaning solutions rather than the "all in one" solutions that have
become popular lately.

why not soak the lenses in peroxide for awhile rather than a quick
shaking? peroxide is a great disinfectant and a reasonable cleaner as
well. just be sure to rinse it off and allow it to completely break
down before putting the lenses in your eyes.

perhaps twice a week might be slightly better, but once a week is OK
for most patients.

don't worry about using peroxide on RGP's

Thanks for your opinions. I will continue with this regimen.
