Eyes Burning

When I put my breathable lenses in today, my eyes started burning like
anything, I don't understand why.  It was as if they were
ultra-sensitive to foreign objects, just today.  I've never really had
such a problem before.  Well, I left the lenses in and let a fan blow
cool air into my eyes.  As I'm typing this right now, my eyes still
burn and tear a little bit, but the pain is becoming lesser.
Eventually I'm sure my eyes will feel normal again.  What did I do the
previous day?  Well, there are a few things I know that could have
affected my eyes:

1. Swimming in the night with contacts in - I may have opened my eyes
underwater as well
2. 5 or 6 hours on the computer or playing video games - staring at
electronic screen
3. Going to sleep at 2 - then this morning I woke up at 6, that's 4
hours of sleep

My eyes have rarely had a problem with the above three activities, so
they may not be related to the ultra-sensitivity of my eyes at all.  My
question is:  Have you ever had a problem like this before?  How can I
avoid this kind of problem in the future?  It really doesn't feel very
good.  Hope you guys can help me out!

Thanks,
Dalal

One more thing - I haven't put in rewetting drops for a few months now
while wearing these contacts.  Could this burning be a symptom of
dryness?

Could it be that you got something in your soaking solution?
Like cleaning solution?

Remove the lenses. If your lucky, the pain and burning will go away and you
won't have to go to the emergency room.

Hope this helps,
