The FDA has approved a new drug that could help patients with macular degeneration. The drug, lucentis, treats the wet form of macular degeneration. It's the only drug shown to significantly reverse failing vision. One dose is expected to cost around two-thousand dollars. Injections are given monthly or bi-monthly.
