I have a question regarding a pair of single vision spectacles I am
thinking of purchasing from Lenscrafters.  The frames are rimless,
drillmounted and my doctor has recommended a 1.67 high index lense with
anti-reflective coating.  The cost for the frame was $159.95 and the
lenses was $340.00.  With a AAA discount the total cost was $349.96

My prescription is:

OD -4.25  -1.00 X 001
OS -4.25  -1.50 X 004

Is is neccessary for me to have the 1.67 high inex lense and is the
$349.96 a decent price for these frames and lenses?

With that pescription, you dont need high index. $340 for the lenses is
way overpriced, they will only be a milimeter thinner. Just go for
regular cr-39 index, they should be thin at only -4.25 unless your
frame is huge or something. I wouldnt consider high index worth it till
someone is like -8 or worse.
