sore eye - swollen feeling

Hi

For about 4 weeks now i have had this strange sensation in my left eye.
It started when i was tiling and managed to get a little piece of tile
in my eye. It came out fine but felt a bit sore as you would expect. It
didn't clear up in a couple of days so went to eye docs and they said
scratched cornea and gave some eye drops.

Took these and the 'something in my eye' feeling went away. But i am now
left with a sensation of my eye feeling swollen and sore however the eye
looks fine and no sign of redness. I can also see out of the eye fine
and i don't wear glasses or lenses.

As this is now getting on for 4 weeks any ideas what could cause this
feeling of soreness? It feels like some form of inflammation but as i
said the eye itself is fine. I also have a slight viral type feeling and
i feel like there is a slight feeling of dripping down the back of my
throat type feeling so perhaps some form of sinus invlovement?

I know this is vague but has anyone got any ideas as to what this could be?

thanks

Most of those sensations do turn out to be sinus-related.

Just curious, how did the eyedoctor check your eye. I was to  eyedoctor also
and she checked
my eye with some kind of magnifying glasses (they looked a bit like normal
glasses), and she did not find anything unusual in the eye, and gave me some
eyedrops, to heal the Red eye. But the problem is : I still have the same
feeling that there´s
some "piece" "trash" or whatever in my eye and It bothers me ,it certainly
feels like there
is something in the eye. Well, this annoys me to the extreme, but I guess we
have to TRUST our
doctors, because I feel If a doctor can´t handle removing some little trash
from the eyes nowadays with all the technology we´ve got, there´s something
seriously wrong with him. It should
be the easiest thing in the world for a doctor with several years of
education to do this.
Well, It would be nice if you´d mensioned how you are doing today since
according to my settings your post is rather old. Ok take care !
