Restor IOL and sunglasses

I've had one eye implanted with a Restore IOL and second eye will be done
next week.

Looking ahead I'm wondering if one color of sunglasses might be better
suited for this application than another.  Or, is it strictly a personal
preference?

Thanks....

Polarized brown twenty-five to one in my shop- try a polarized gray just to be
sure. Add an anti-reflection coating for increased comfort when worn frequently
and/or for prolonged periods.

Hope this helps,

You say 25 to 1 in your shop.  Is this an overall figure or for people like
me with the implants?

Yes, all the prescription sunglasses I've had in past were polarized and the
latest couple have/had AR coating.  I've just never tried the amber color.
I've used dark blue and gray.

Thanks for the info.

Average client is about age 70.

Your optician should have  "Fitovers" or "Cocoons" to try over the glasses.

The brown color offers more protection from light (blue end of the spectrum)
that may be a contributor towards increased risk of macular degeneration.

Your welcome.
