My odd vision problem...

My dad just turned around today, and he says he sees a faint double
vision shadow, sounded like he has it on vertical lines... nice of him
to tell me... I wonder if it's related to my problems (documented many
months ago, I can fill you in again if you want, but Im just rhetoric at
the moment, but simply, Worth 4 Dot Test, seeing 5 dots instead of four,
the Mallet test, both green lines line up with the X, but neither lines
up with each other, the maddox test, red line all the way to the right
etc).

My issue seems to be due to bad light. As soon as they fitted a new
light bulb at work (two bulbs instead of one), my eyes gained sharp
focus again. Though maybe not that unusual as I seem to remember that
thing about seeing through a smaller hole will sharpen the image better...

Thanks for that. Having looked at CSR on the internet, doesn't sound
like me to be honest. I've noticed this for just under a year now, and
my eyes have been thourighly checked under the, erm, atropine drops. So
if I had CSR I would hope that someone would have spotted it.

To fill in any gaps...

One of the other tests they performed was the frisby stereopsis tests...
One of the shapes is supposed to jump out at you, unfortunately with
myself, everything was flat. Nothing jumped out under the tests. There
was one with a blue "circle", I could see a circular shape, by the
positioning of the arrows, but it didn't jump out at me.

The vision problems I experienced weren't 24 hour vision problems
either, it was only at certain periods during the day under specific
conditions, usually when looking at printed matter, and the sensation I
felt was almost exactly like I had atropine. It was like the text I was
reading wasn't on the paper, appearing grey and jumping out at me,
almost magnified. Pulling the paper closer to my eyes caused the text to
come into sharp focus, but it seemed to remain the same size.

I noticed similar feelings looking at road signs though while driving
home from work.

Cheers
Simon
