You may be surprised to learn that lasik surgery is now in its second
decade, and patients have more vision correction options than ever
before. The common issues are nearsightedness, farsightedness,
astigmatism, which means that your cornea's not normally shaped, and
something called presbyopia, which is the loss of the ability to see up
close as we age. One of the options is lasik, or in a broader term,
eximer laser surgery, that is the laser that is used to reshape the
cornea. There's prk, or surface oblation, which also reshapes the
cornea. Oftentimes, prk is used for people who have thinner corneas or
more abnormally shaped corneas. If your eyes are too nearsighted for
those predures, you can consider intraocular surgery: a lens is
actually implanted inside your eye to correct high amounts of
nearsightedness. Check out this video about lasik surgery, this isn't a

I will improve my vision as much as possible, I think I can get down as
low as -3 this will greatly improve my distance vision and still make
reading up close easy at 13 inches.

Distance vision sucks @ -3. You really do not have a clue.

Yes distance vision isnt so great at -3 but its perfect for near
