lenticualr myopia

what exactly is lenticular myopia? when a person has it what happens to the
lens that makes them nearsighted?

The lens is too steep, too convex, either front or back or both.

In some cases it may be steeper in the center and flatter at the edges, or
vice versa. That's how we get the contradiction between retinoscopy and
actual acuity.

does the bulge just happen on its own or are the cilical muscles just to weak
to flatten the lens or both? thank you in advance for your help

I'm pretty sure it's not the muscle - the lens just grows that way.
