hi! i'm in the philippines where disposable toric lenses are hard to
find. at present, i use frequency 55 toric from cooper vision, which i
have to import from the USA. as of a year ago, my prescription was pwr
-1.00 cyl -1.25 ax 90 on both eyes. having dry eyes, i can only wear my
lenses for about 4 to 5 hours before i feel like ripping them out. i've
been told to try lenses with lower water content so i tried preference
toric with the same BC and DIA (8.7/14.4) but they did not fit the
same. they were actually uncomfortable. why is that?

any recommendations? other brands seem to have different BC and DIA.
how would i know which way to go? higher BC/DIA or lower? i recall
trying a pair of freshlook toric lenses that were median/14.5 but the
lenses did not stay centered on the eye - they kept moving towards my
nose. unfortunately, i can't seem to find a doctor in manila who can
help me.

Not sure if you can get Purevision Toric (Bausch & Lomb) there but they
might be worth a try if you can.

I cant seem to tolerate any contacts either. However since you have a
very low pescription, you are lucky. Do a little natural vision
improvement and you will get better than 20/40 uncorrected vision.

what do you mean by natural vision correction?

Please don't ask that idiot for advice. BTW, "natural vision
correction" is a scam.
Trial and error is the way for you to find comfortable lenses.

eye exercises to improve your vision. I improved my own vision a
little. since your pescription is low, a small improvement will let you
see enough to go without correction. Whats your UCVA now, how well do
you see without correction
