I'll be phoning to try and get my notes from the hospital tomorrow. I
have to wait til 2nd June for my appointment.
So lets see...
Went eye test at optician in November. Referred to the hospital.
Hospital appointment in March. Went for tests. I know what I saw, and
that it wasn't "correct".
Was seen by a consultant who said nothing was wrong, didn't think one of
the tests was performed, then told me not to ask her any questions, but
save them for the next consultant, where, they'll probably run the same
eye tests again.
So Im thinking, what was the point of the first appointment? That's my
time, their time, their money etc, that has been wasted, on what? No
answers?
This is why Im furious with the NHS and all that. I can understand we
live in a red tape and bureaucracy world, where even your own GP won't
do a blood test so you have to come back in a week or two to see a nurse
and waste more of your own time and the doctors time...
I didn't much expect diagnosis on the spot, but a simple explanation and
acknowledgement of the facts would have been nice. Why perform the tests
if they can't interpret them???
Im off to try and get hold of my notes. Got another 3 months waiting for
the next appointment. See what I can get in the meantime, be back soon I
hope. Probably a month or so.
Cheers

Don't worry mate had the same thingm I had to pay to go private £120
as I couldn't wait 6 months, all he did was look in the back of my eyes
and do a sight test, he then mentioned it's "all in my head", after
coming out £120 out of pocket and problems wtill there it sucks.
Go forward 6 months and I get my NHS appointmet, get to hospital and
who do I see??, the same plonker I paid to go private!!! :(, again he
said it's all in my head., dont think so!!.
So far im just liveing with my eye problems, no one can help me.

We do have some kind of private health insurance at work... but I think
it only really covers surgery rather than, stuff like this.
Well, you have my email address, if you find anything, or get anything
done, let me know, and I will keep you informed. Remind of what's going
on with yourself again? You hinted that you were getting similar stuff
to me?
Cheers
