I recently put a post requesting information regarding an upcoming lens
replacement.

Thank you all for your responses.

I had a couple suggestions of requesting between -1.25 and -1.5 setting to
have good distance vision and still be able to read computer screen.

My doctor suggested  -.5 for one eye and  -1.25 for the other.  The idea
that the -.5 eye would give very good distance vision and the -1.25 eye
would provide clearer vision for computer screen (not small print).  This
way I may not need glasses at all for most occasions.

I've read about monovision, but I think these settings are too close to each
other to be put in that catagory.

Any comments?

try monovision with contacts first then be the judge what you want
done. If you dont like monovision, get undercorrected

Yeah, I think you need to watch your signs more carefully.
