Hello -

I'm a T2 diabetic and notice that my distance vision changes about a half
diopter with blood sugar changes.  What is the physiology behind this?  My
last dialated retinal exam shows normal.

TIA

Changes in swelling in the lens and other ocular tissue. Nothing to do
with the retinal bleeding and leakage which is what the retinal exam is
looking for.
