Also, are the 2 images separated horizontally, vertically, or obliquely,
and are they overlapping or completely separate, and can you voluntarily
"fuse" them (bring them single with effort)? Also, does it only happen
when you're tired (or have been partaking of substances)?

I see double from near with my glasses unless I strain to cross my eyes
then its single but blurry. closing one eye prevents doubling but is
blurry. You may just have tired eyes and some trouble fusing the two
images into one.

I noticed it last night watching TV and could see two of people on the screen.
It doesn't always happen, just sometimes, probably when I'm slightly tired as
its usually at the end of the day, not usually linked to taking any
substances. In terms of the images, last night I could see two side by side,
so does that mean they're horizontally separated, they didn't overlap. I
haven't tried to fuse them. What is it please?
