Forgive me as this is not the place but since I have a nice dialogue
going here and there are people I can call my friends, I wanted to
write... My father passed away last Sunday evening time in Turkey. I
learnt about the news yesterday. I had not talked to him last 6 months
and had not seen him last 6 years. He was not a Christian in the terms
we know, I am sure things he had done in his life would be damning and
he should be headed to hell in some people's eyes, however Lord has
infinite mercy and grace, even my father got distracted most of his life
towards different beliefs, maybe was not the best father out there, he
loved his children. He sought God towards the end and he knew his two
boys were Christians. He never resented this fact. Pray for him and I
have hope that I will be seeing him one day. His name is Sadi. Lord's
blessings to you all and may He end your sufferings whether physical or
emotional.

I'm sorry for your loss, John.  I've been there.  I'm sure many of us
have.

I wish you peace through your grief.

Sorry to hear of your loss.  I'm not a Christian in the terms we know
either, but don't think that matters.

I know this hurts really bad.  I lost my mother over 30 years ago and it
still hurts.

Unless it makes the prayer feel better, praying is a waste of time.If it
does make you feel better, do it.

My sympathy to you John. I lost my father seven years ago and still think of
him every day. We had our differences, but as the years since his passing
have gone by, I remember more of the good times and few of the bad.

Cherish your rememberances of the good times with your father, share them
with your brother, tell your children his story. He lives on in the memories
of those still living.

Judy
