I'm interested in ordering glasses for use in front of the computer
where I could shift my eyes to the left and see the TV about 10 feet
away, behind the computer. The center of the TV is on the same axis as
the center of the computer. Executive bifocal lenses split vertically
(left and right halves), instead of horizontally, would seem to make
sense. Is it possible to make bifocal lenses like this? Thanks. Dick

You could ask someone to do this and it is physically possible.  However, it
does mean you will need to turn your head to the left when working on the
computer which may cause neck pain.  the reason for this is so that the eyes
can turn to the right and both look through the "computer" part of the lens.
If you tried to use the computer with your head straight then the left side
of the screen would be out of focus.

A more workable solution would be to get a small tv mounted on monitor arm
attached to the wall or desk and position the tv to be beside the computer
monitor.    Then you can use the same  single vision pair of computer
glasses for both tasks.
