I've officially given up on soft contact lenses

It is now official:  I've tried every brand of soft lens suitable for
my eyeballs and their separate correction requirements.  They all suck
from my POV, which I suppose is the one that counts the most.  At this
point I'm debating whether I want to hassle with the fitting of and
adjusting to either RGPs or hard contacts.  I wore RGPs successfully
for 10 years, until I moved to Texas and discovered a shitload of
allergies that mostly affect my eyes.

I guess I'll turn into one of those old ladies who wears flamboyant
glasses and has a pair for every day of the week.  Or something.

Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

Pure PMMA lenses are a form of torture. They should not be sold.

I had few problems with RGP lenses. After bilateral cataract extraction, I
am considering three options: glasses, contacts, or (usually) nothing. All
options are on the table, but hopefully not sliding across the table.
