Silly question maybe but can one easily have rgp
lenses visibly marked for right/left identification?
I know some soft lenses have markings around
the periphery but they're a lot larger and well out
of sight when inserted right?
So the idea is to be able to positively id the right
or left lens before insertion. With a close but
different right/left prescription it can take a while
before deciding that things are not right due to
reasons other than insertion irritation, etc.
thanks,

Yes, of course. In fact a standard procedure. Ink dot or laser dot
etched.

Friend had dots, but they eventually disappeared. Now whenever she switches
the lenses (she thinks she got them mixed up once) the new way is better.
Every single time. I guess if she switches often enough she won't need them
any more :-)

Nobody needs to speak on behalf of idiots, they manage
to speak entirely too much for themselves already.

If you have dark eyes, it's sensible to get them in different colors - gReen
and bLue.

I have RGPs, and have one in light green and one in light blue. The L
and R are marked in green and blue so i can easily see which is where.
The tint isn't enough to change the color of eyes, but is only to help
you find the contact if you drop it. AND to be able to tell one from
the other.
I've been using the green/blue for 10 years and will not change in the
future. It works!

Nifty. My friend's lenses have a dot on one of them, but it eventually
wears off.
