I'm wearing Focus Night and Day lenses on a daily wear basis.  I have
monovision.  My eyes are about the same but I wear -2.50 and -4.00.  I found
it a bit uncomfortable when I moved from -3.75 to -4.00 but I adapted to it.
Now it's feeling uncomfortable again - particulary when using the computer
or reading.  I feel conscious of eye strain.  I also have been having some
problems with dry eyes lately (I've been using a fairly low dose diuretic
but only recently has it become an issue.)  I suspect the dry eye is
contributing to the feeling of strain but don't think it's the whole
problem.  When I wear glasses (usually at home) I almost always revert to a
really old pair -3.25 rather that the -4.00.    So, my question is, would it
be reasonable to go back to  -3.75 and -2.50?  I think the comfort would be
greatly enhanced.  I worry about visual acuity though.  I suspect it would
be fine but wonder what the experts think.

i can't say.  I don't know whether your left eye refraction is closer
to -3.75 or -4.00?  you should try it and see whether the strain is
less and whether your distance acuity is compromised.

We can't know either.  Ask your contact lens fitter for a trial -3.75 lens
to see how it works.
