I just got a trial pair of these. I was using the plain plus Acuvue Advance
and my vision was not bad, but a little unstable in terms of consistently
remaining clear. These give better vision because they correct my
astigmatism too. But, I have noticed a few things with this trial pair.
First, I can feel them a little bit more in my eyes. But most importantly,
they are very floppy and harder to work with when I take them out of a case
than the plain plus lenses. Has anyone else experienced this? Might the
manufacturer improve this feature and why is it like this? Is it something
to do with the astig correction?
I am currently trying trial Acuvue Advance for my left eye and Acuvue
Advance for Astigmatism for my right eye, both plus lenses. This is my
first pair of contact lenses. I do find the lens in my left eye a bit
more comfortable, and that the lens in my right eye does occasionally
rotate a bit, before re-centering, but for the most part, I don't
really notice either.
As for the handling, both do fold in on themselves when I remove them
from the case and don't notice a significant difference between the
two other than that the AA for Astigmatism is a larger diameter. Once,
I unfold them on the end of my finger they are fine, but the AA for
Astigmatism does seem to have a slightly greater tendency to try to
stick to my finger when inserting.
Overall, I am really pleased with both lenses and have had an easy
time adjusting to them.
