Hey guys i read some articles online and it said that if your CYL is
between -1.00 and +1.00 that generally you will be fitted with a
regular set of contacts, however I currently use Focus Toric lenses and
my perscription is as follows:

-!Left Eye!-
Power: 0.50
BC: 8.90
DIA: 14.5
CYL: -1.00
Axis: 70

-!Right Eye!-
Power: 0.50
BC: 8.90
DIA: 14.5
CYL: -1.00
Axis: 90

Now when I look at the Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism they do not have
the CYL at -1.00, all they have is 1.25 etc.  Does this now mean that I
can not switch contact brands?

The contacts I have now are quite uncomfortable and wearing them for a
full month is outrageous.  At most I would like to wear my contacts for
two weeks.  Is there an alterative for me?  My eye doctor will not
return my calls.

Thank You,

Jason

They have a .75 I think.  Close enough.  If they don't have a .75, then
I wouldn't switch because overcorrection is not good with cyls.

There are lots of torics with .75 cyls, but I'm assuming you mean
disposing of them at 2 wks, not continuous wear for 2 weeks.  Very few
torics are approved for that.

Of course if your spectacle cyl is 1.25 or greater, no problem with the
1.25 toric CLs for sure.

Drop in on him/her and sit there until you get an answer.
