Ah, another "let me the judge of that!" kind of guy.
I, too have tried them all (although not the O2Optix in my Rx as CIBA
doesn't seem to think hyperopes matter.) I back to wearing Tangent
Streak aspheric multifocals, mostly because I crave the vision quality
and put up with the variable comfort.
Having tried all the si-hydros (thus far!), I feel the N&D has the best
overall optics with the best aspheric optics (for my non-corrected ATR
because they don't care about astigmats, either). Purevision is very
close second, Optix a little less (but not a very valid test) and
Advance a distant runner-up.
I can't wait for the Purevision Multifocal. That should be a dynamite
lens! Think I'm asking too much for a toric multifocal si-hydro?
What I can't understand is all the trade "journals" are touting the nice
growth of si-hydros which is pretty amazing considering the poor
marketing, lack of inventory, limited parameters that exisits today. If
si-hydros are so important, why aren't the manufacturers bending over
backwards to have them ready for the masses? I've got over 40 patients
waiting for lens parameters not available----and I'm a puny little
practice.

Oh, I hope I don't come off that way. It's just that I wear contact
lenses, and I always try the "latest and greatest" myself. You and I
have the benefit of trying these products out on large numbers of
patients, and can derive some sense of how well they work, or don't
work as a result.
When Purevision was pulled off the market, I had no choice but to
switch to Focus N&D, and I did so successfully....to the point really
of having concluded that there really was no difference. In the
meantime, I also flirted with Acuvue Advance, and then with O2Optix.
Well, I'm back in Purevision for the moment. I doubt that Ciba would
ever hire me.
