I found a topic in this group that explains most of what my question is
but I need a little more indepth answer.

I just got glasses basically for the first time (5 years ago I had them
when I was a kid). The glasses of course the title of this topic
explains, for the Astigmatism/regular in my eye. Now my glasses that I
got are pretty good for reading upclose or just standard reading and
for computer activities but I noticed that my far away vision is worse
with the glasses on. From a post I saw earlier I have read someone
saying that it will get better but when? The other thing also is even
when I am using them for reading or computer work I feel a slight
strain or something on my eye, is that just probably part of the
gettting used to it process? If anyone has any information to share
with me that would be great.

The glasses need to provide clear and comfortable vision for whatever
task for which they are prescribed.  If they were prescribed for
reading, then they should not produce any sense of "strain" on their
own.  If they were prescribed for distance, then the vision should be
clearer and more comfortable on than off.

Of course, there are situations in which some short-term adaptation may
be necessary.  To be fair to your eye doctor, give them a couple of
weeks.  If there is no improvement, then share you concerns with your
eye doctor.  Prescribing is sometimes an art more than a science.

Yeah.. well my glasses are for being farsighted so my far away vision
is fine but things upclose were the problem. But as I said things far
away now are blurry but it kinda changes. But its only been a few days
so I will defently give them time and all. thanks.
