This may be off topic, but here goes:
I'm interested in hearing from anyone who is on both panels. Intel
changed from vsp to eyemed on Jan 1, and the eyemed plan was supposed to
"mirror" the vsp plan, but doesn't seem to in some areas.
One example, under vsp the patient "extra" for premium progressives is
around $90, while the same lenses cost the patient about %140 under eyemed.
Another, prescribed prism is covered in full under vsp, while it's
considered a "patient option" under eyemed and the patient has to pay.
Any others, comments?
Thanks

How can "prescribed prism" not be treated as medically necessary? Scary.

It comes from letting insurance companies dictate medical standards.
According to Medicare, _refraction_ is never medically necessary.
It could be that LC doesn't charge for prism...
