    I wonder if, like LASIK, when the procedure is done, if
anyone's eyes have ever degraded over time where it made it such that
the process had to be done again, or are these things guaranteed for
life?

LASIK is avoided until myopia has stopped "degrading over time."

Normally, after lens implants, refraction remains stable for years.
