I've been a contact wearer for about 9 years and have worn both contacts
and glasses for the last 5. I've had a lot of trouble in recent times with
dryness and eye strain. Most recently I've been wearing Proclear
Compatibles and they have been better than other lenses I've tried, but I
still have a problem if I wear them for more than a few hours. I did
notice however, when I traveled to a more humid climate, they were better.
It is very dry where I live.
I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion of which lens would be right for me.
I have tried Focus Night & Day in the past and did not like that lens; even
wearing it for a few hours bothered my eyes. I've been researching the
Acuvue Advance Lens as well as the O2 Optix, and then there is the
Proclear. Which lens is best for a generally healthy, but dry eye?
Thanks,
Jill

No lens is best for anything.
How cannot you understand that?

I have found both AV Advance and O2Optix to be useful for patients
complaining of dry eyes. I would try both of them. Different people claim
that one lens is more comfortable than the other-- it's individual
preference. The technical specifications of O2Optix show that it is more
oxygen permeable than AV Advance.
