Blur spot after looking intently with prog. lenses

I'm 57, in good health, and wear progressive lenses. If I look INTENTLY at
something close up or through the mid-range channel for short time, say the
little screen on my cell phone or on my digital camera the strangest thing
happens. When I look away, say to a computer screen, there is a blur spot
right in the middle. You've seen on TV where they want to hide the face of
someone (or Janet Jackson's breast) and they make one tiny spot into a blur,
well that's what happens. It goes away by itself after 2 or 3 minutes. It
does NOT happen when reading, only when staring at the same thing intently,
as you would when you are changing the settings on a cell phone. And get
this, it seems to happen mostly on digital images via an LCD screen.

I never had this happen until I started wearing these progressives from
Lenscrafters with Esselor lenses. It does not happen when I don't wear the
glasses.

I just had my eyes examed and forgot to tell the doctor about it. As part of
the exam she did a retina digital image on a new machine in her office and
said my eyes are fine, healthy, etc. I'm sure it's not serious, and it's not
a big deal, but it does tend to bother me.

I can see fine around the blur (in center) and like I say, it goes away.

Any idea what is happening here? I Googled for this symptom and found nothing.

Thanks,

Al

These are classica symptoms of mental strain that such a cunning device
like progressive glasses bring forth quickly.

But, don't you see that people who wears them become rigid and stupid
in their behaviour?

Then they are forced to change the glasses for more stronger them, and
they become even more stupid and hard, if not totally dumb.

What proof do you want more?

And you ask for help on this website?

You seem to believe in science and medicine, but you have no vision.
