Hello,
I'm having a bit of a problem with my vision at the moment.
Last Wednesday I noticed my normally near perfect right eye had gone fuzzy,
that is to say it's like a TV tuned just off the channel. Bright lights are
a source of annoyance and it's making a problem of using computers. Today I
have noticed the occasional pain, but nothing terrible. I work in IT and
spend 8 - 14 hours in front of a screen every day. I have had no trouble
with my vision except a lazy, uncorrectable left eye. I spoke to my optician
last Thursday who said beyond the fuzz that my prescription had changed from
a +0.50sph to a -0.50sph in 5 years. I am waiting on them making my glasses
up. She said if the symptoms persisted to see my GP which I did yesterday.
He couldn't find anything physically wrong either and sent my to see a
specialist at my local hospital. The specialist checked my pressures - fine,
checked pupil finction - fine, then checked both my eyes after administering
drops that expand the pupil. All fine. She even had one of her colleags
check everything and she confirmed the same findings - all fine. She said if
anything changes to contact her, failing that in six weeks she wants to do a
Fluorescein Angiography to get a look at the blood vessels at the back of my
eyes. I feel this is only really affecting my right eye. Today I had to come
home from work as I just couldn't stand to look ar the screen anymore - I
have been trying to take breaks and look away from the screen, but this
doesn't seem to help. Nothing has so far. I feel I've been left in limbo
here. No-one is saying I should stay at home away from the computer, or
continue to work and hope it goes away. I can't drive the car because of
this fuzzy haze anyway. Things that people have mentioned, but are being
non-commital about are CVS and Ocular Migraine, but surely Ocular Migraine
would have passed by now and CVS relieved, even temporarily by a good nights
sleep!?
Thanks for reading

"uncorrectable" is not a word you should use if you seek help.
