Hello

I am looking for advice on the best lens material (single vision)for
the following prescription.  Due to the high cylinder power, is an
aspheric lens even an option or would I best be served by an atoric
lens design?

My prescription is:

O.D.: Sph. -2.50, Cyl. +5.00, Axis 100
O.S.: Sph. -0.50, Cyl. +1.50, Axis 095

The material will be used in a half-rimless frame design with minimal
surface lens area.  Please be as specific as possible in your
recommendation (manufacturer, refractive index, type, etc.)  Thank you
very much.

Atoric designs are not available for the right eye (US). Aspheric designs are
probably ok. Need your age, occupation, hobbies, old Rx and material, frame size
and shape along with the mono PD, as well as your concerns regarding the
performance expected from your eyewear. Any recommendation assumes that the
frame allows the lens to be positioned properly in front of the eyes. Any strong
and/or complex lens Rx can perform poorly when designed and fitted poorly, with
non-aspheric cr39 plastic and crown glass being the most forgiving.

Hope this helps
