It was a slow day for old Otis today, with only 3 posts appearing on
this server of 33 total. Sadly, Rishi made up the difference with 4
posts of his own BS.

Today, Otis Brown and his ridiculous, unsupportable, unprovable (of
course) mis-information posts accounted for less than 10% of
sci.med.vision traffic, a substantial decrease compared to the previous
three days.

Congratulations all on almost being rid of Otis Brown.

But of course -- so that the traditional minus-lens
method of the last 400 years can continue -- despite
a massive amount of evidence that proves
that the natural eye controls its refractive
status to its average visual environment.

As a well designed control system would
be expected to behave.

Please share this "massive amount of evidence" with us.  What is it?
In particular, share the "massive amount of evidence" that shows that plus
lenses prevent myopia, and that minus lenses cause myopia.

And here you reveal your bias.  You THINK that a well designed system should
work that way so you insist that it does without any scientific proof.
Unfortunately the functioning of our eye is more complex than your
simple-minded concept of how you THINK it should work.  Theories in the
absence of scientific proof equal BIAS.

Just do the experiments, find out how it REALLY works, and tell us about
that.  NOT your neat little mental models.  Just the facts Danno!
