Hello. i have just started using focus monthly disposables and im
quite happy with them.
I have not started using them at work as i have one concern in this
regard.  I work nightshifts - and my first shift of the week involves
me being up and about for 20 hrs.
I have read that it is not best practise to wear contacts over
extended time periods and wondered what if any damage i would do by
wearing them during this time at work.

Thanks in advance for any input received.

It is a long day but you should be fine -you should consider usage
of rewetting agents and removal of the lenses (if possible) if the eyes become
irritated or red. Also, the Ciba Night and Days might be a good
option for you as well as they are approve for overnight wear.

Thanks for your response Frank.

I tried them last night for the first time.  They were slightly
uncomfortable but seeing as i'm very much concious of them at the
moment, i think it went ok.

I work in a clean room environment on a 12 hour shift.  I had expected
the eyes to get really dry but instead of this, they got a bit watery
at times.

I don't mind putting up with a little discomfort - and there does seem
to be a difference between using them in the clean room as opposed to
normal conditions - so long as i'm not doing any damage.

As regards red eyes, well i usually have bloodshot eyes from working
this shift anyway so its a little difficult to assess whether the
contacts are adding to this or not....?

I will wear them for the next week or two and see how it goes.
